A classical Christian school
in its founding season
Wimberley Wellspring Christian Academy is a classical Christian school currently in formation in Wimberley, Texas. We serve grades 6–12 in our founding season — with future lower grades as soon as we are equipped to do so.
Our model is the university schedule: two days of intensive, Socratic academic instruction on campus each week, with the remaining three days under the direction of the family at home. It is rigorous, relational, and built for real formation — not just information transfer.
Where Truth is taught and children learn to love what is Good.

Five Institutional Pillars
Every subject, every discussion, every day begins and returns to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. This is not a cultural accommodation — it is the organizing principle of everything we teach, build, and become.
We teach through the trivium — Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric — equipping students not merely with information but with the tools of learning itself. A classical education produces graduates who can think, reason, speak, and write with clarity and conviction.
Parents are the primary educators. WWCA exists to serve the family, not to replace it. Our university-model schedule honors that calling by design — two days on campus, three days at home.
We build with honesty. What we promise, we deliver. Every governance decision, financial commitment, and educational offering is made with accountability to our families and our God.
We believe beauty is not decorative — it is formative. The arts, the architecture of ideas, the way language is handled: all of it shapes the soul. We pursue excellence in beauty as an act of faithful stewardship.
The Classical Method
The Trivium
The three stages of classical education — Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric — map directly to how children naturally develop, and they produce graduates with the full range of intellectual virtues.
Children learn the grammar of every discipline — facts, vocabulary, stories, and rules that form the foundation for all future reasoning. Our founding season begins at Grade 6; Grammar Stage K–5 is part of our long-term vision as the Wellspring grows.
Students begin to ask why, to connect ideas across disciplines, and to reason through disagreement. Socratic dialogue, formal logic, and the history of ideas become primary tools.
Students learn to articulate what they know with force, elegance, and conviction — in writing, in speech, and in life. This stage produces graduates who can engage the world on its terms and on God's.
Core Academic Program
Monday & Wednesday
On-Campus Instruction
Core academics are delivered on Monday and Wednesday in two tracks aligned to the classical trivium. Instruction is Socratic, integrative, and deeply attentive to the formation of the whole student.
Language & Literature, History & Theology, Latin (Year 2+), Logic & Philosophy. Socratic in method, integrative in scope. Students engage primary sources, argue ideas, and learn to love what is true and good.
Classical mathematics through proof-based reasoning. Science taught as ordered inquiry into God's creation — observational, experimental, and philosophically grounded.
Visual art, classical movement, music, and creative writing taught by professional artists. Formation in beauty as a discipline of the soul — not extracurricular enrichment.

The Classical Art Program at WWCA is the academic and artistic heartbeat of our Thursday–Friday schedule. Taught by Teresa Moralez-Davis — MFA in Printmaking and Intermedia, University of Iowa — the program teaches students to see, make, reflect, and grow as artists who understand their work as an act of worship and witness.

For Those Who Know Me
and For Those I Have Yet to Meet
For those who have walked alongside me and my family in this community — you already know the heart behind what I am building. You have sat across from me at a table, watched my children grow, and heard me talk about what education could be and what it too often isn't.
For those I have yet to meet — I want you to know who I am before you trust me with your children.
I grew up in the Texas Hill Country. I am a native of this land, and I love it the way you only love a place you were shaped by. I am a wife, a mother of three, and an artist — someone who has spent her adult life in service of beauty and truth through the work of making things.
I hold an MFA in Printmaking and Intermedia from the University of Iowa and a BFA from UT Tyler. I have taught art across every season of life — children, teenagers, adults, and seniors — and I believe with my whole heart that the ability to see, to make, and to reflect on what you have made is one of the most humanizing gifts we can give a child.
Wimberley Wellspring Christian Academy is not a business venture. It is a calling. It was born in prayer, refined over years of study and mentorship, and now stands on the threshold of becoming real. I am building it for the families of this community — for the children who deserve more than what the educational marketplace typically offers, and for the parents who know it.

Building with Integrity
WWCA is organized as a Texas nonprofit corporation. Certificate of formation issued 2026. Board formalization and 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status application actively in progress.
Founding board of 5–7 members in formation. Board Treasurer & Financial Advisor identified — active CFO with dual graduate degrees in accounting and 7+ years nonprofit board treasurer experience. Formal acceptance and onboarding in progress.
Formal mentorship through the Herzog Foundation SchoolBox program.
Capital Campaign
The Wellspring Campaign
The Wellspring Capital Campaign is actively underway. Campaign funds cover the essential costs of building a classical Christian school in its founding years. A defined campaign goal will be published upon campus selection.
TEFA Opportunity
Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA, SB 2 signed May 2025) provide significant annual per-student state funding for qualifying families at accredited private schools. Once WWCA meets eligibility requirements, TEFA is projected to cover the substantial majority of tuition for qualifying families. WWCA's target TEFA eligibility window is Fall 2028–2029.
